Hi, I'm Jeff Allen.

I'm a San Francisco Bay Area product leader who has spent 20+ years building and simplifying complex technology for a living. Along the way, I've helped my stepfather organize his files, taught my sister how to use Google Docs, and walked more friends than I can count through the basics of their iPhones.

What I've learned is that most technology confusion isn't about intelligence — it's about translation. Nobody sat down with you and explained it in plain, patient, human terms. That's the gap I fill.

I work with people across Marin County and San Francisco — and throughout the greater Bay Area — who are ready to feel genuinely confident with technology, not just patched up until the next problem.

We can meet in person at your home or office (Marin County and San Francisco), over video call, or a combination of both — whatever works best for you. Available throughout the greater Bay Area with a travel fee starting at $50 for locations outside Marin and San Francisco.

Sessions are 100% tailored to you. We go at your speed. We revisit things as many times as needed. Every session includes follow-up notes so you always have something to reference later.

Keep Going (or Don't)

Some people need one session. Others want ongoing support. Either way is completely fine. Retainers are month-to-month with no long-term commitment — just 30 days notice to cancel. There's no pressure, no upsell, no agenda. Just genuine help.

Questions You Might Have

Do I need any technical background?

Not at all. I work with complete beginners every day. The more confused you feel right now, the more useful our session will be.

What if I don't understand something during the session?

We'll go over it again. And again if needed. There's no such thing as a dumb question in my sessions — that's the whole point.

Do you come to my home?

Yes, for clients in Marin County and San Francisco. I'm also available throughout the greater Bay Area for a travel fee starting at $50. And if you prefer, we can meet over video call from anywhere.

What if I just have one quick question?

Book a single session — we can tackle several quick questions in an hour, and you'll likely leave with answers to things you didn't even know to ask.

How is this different from calling Apple Support or Geek Squad?

Apple Support and Geek Squad are designed to fix a specific problem, not teach you. I'm not here to take over your screen and solve it while you watch — I'm here to make sure you actually understand it so you can handle it yourself next time.

What are the terms for monthly retainers?

Retainers are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. You're billed monthly in advance, and you can cancel anytime with 30 days notice. No contracts, no gotchas.

Do you work with businesses or teams?
